My Goal for you

My goal this year is to provide as much information as possible about what we are doing in science to both the students and their parents.  Weekly, each grade level will try to send out a quick newsletter, via email, to let you know what your child is working on in their core classes for that week.  We also encourage all parents to sign up for ParentPortal, which allows you to view your child's grades at any time. Hopefully this weekly email and Parent Portal will help provide an invaluable link between the student, parent, and teacher to foster success for your child.

This year the students will learn how to use scientific equipment safely and accurately.  By using Metric measurements we can compile data on experiments, then use critical thinking skills to use that data to analyse and evaluate our results. 

Another goal for me, this year, is to teach all of my students to use HEART, which is our school's motto, as we learn these important scientific concepts this year.  HEART stands for Honesty, Enthusiasm, Achievement, Respect, and Trust.  When students and teachers use HEART throughout the school day - everyone wins - we'll have a safe and secure classroom, which will foster learning and fun!
